Peter Reit, Principal French Horn

Biography

Peter is currently in his twenty-eighth year with the Broadway hit Phantom of the Opera. He plays principal horn with the Westchester Philharmonic, Greenwich Symphony, and Scandia Symphony Orchestras. He has been a guest artist in numerous ensembles including the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, New York Philharmonic, Orpheus Chamber Ensemble, Orchestra of St. Luke's, American Symphony Orchestra, New York City Ballet and Opera Orchestras, and the American Ballet Theater. Peter has been featured on numerous CDs and has been heard on many television and radio commercials, as well as movie soundtracks. He is a very active chamber music player and recitalist, and is on the faculty at SUNY Purchase and Vassar Colleges. He recently released a CD, Private Collection, as a duo with his wife, Alyssa Reit, on harp.
