Biography
Violinist Martin Agee has been a member of the Westchester Philharmonic for fifteen years. He maintains a highly visible presence with many of New York's most prestigious musical organizations. Highly sought after for his versatility and ensemble skills, he has served as principal violinist for the New York Chamber Symphony, the Orchestra of St. Luke's, the American Symphony Orchestra, the American Theater Orchestra, the Little Orchestra Society, and the Mostly Mozart Festival Orchestra at Lincoln Center, among others. A respected collaborator in the field of new music, he premiered some thirty-five works with the Music Today Ensemble, and toured four continents with the Metropolitan Players and with Steve Reich and Musicians. Mr. Agee can be heard in contemporary, chamber and solo settings on the Opus One, Musical Heritage, CRI, Angel, Mode, RCA, and Sony record labels. His television, recording and performing credits encompass a wide array of concert performances with the major artists of our time from Itzhak Perlman to James Levine and from Madonna to Metallica.
