Hugh Eddy, Principal Trombone

Biography:

 

Hugh Eddy has been a member of the New York City Ballet Orchestra since 1997.  He is principal trombonist of the Brooklyn Philharmonic Orchestra and is also a member of the American Composers Orchestra and the Westchester Philharmonic.  He is privileged to have studied with both of his predecessors in the Ballet trombone section, John Swallow and Ronald Borror, at SUNY Purchase (BFA), the Manhattan School of Music (MM) and SUNY Stonybrook (DMA).  Hugh has also pursued a career in computer programming, having worked in hospital information technology for the last 20 years.  Currently, he is senior systems specialist at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York.
