Peter Reit, Principal French Horn

Peter is currently in his twenty-first year with the Broadway hit Phantom of the Opera. He plays principal horn with Westchester Philharmonic, Greenwich Symphony, and Scandia Symphony Orchestras, and is associate-principal/third horn with Stamford Symphony Orchestra. He has been a guest artist in numerous ensembles including Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, New York Philharmonic, Orpheus Chamber Ensemble, Orchestra of St. Luke's, American Symphony Orchestra and New York City Opera Orchestra.

Mr. Reit is a very active chamber music player, and performs numerous recitals with his wife, Alyssa, as a harp and horn duo. Peter is featured on both classical and commercial CDs and has been heard on many television and radio commercials, as well as movie soundtracks.

He is on the faculty at the Hartt School of Music, Vassar College, and the Music Conservatory of Westchester.
