Biography

Ben Davis is quickly developing a reputation as a crossover artist, able to bridge the worlds of Broadway and Opera. He made his Lincoln Center debut opposite Kelli O'Hara and Victor Garber in Kurt Weill's, Knickerbocker Holiday, directed by Ted Sperling. He was most recently seen on Broadway in A Little Night Music with Bernadette Peters and Elaine Stritch, where he covered and performed the role of Count Carl Magnus. Other Broadway credits include both productions of Les Miserables as Enjolras and Javert as well as Trevor Graydon in Thoroughly Modern Millie opposite Sutton Foster. Ben earned a Tony Honor and Ovation Award for his work as Marcello in Baz Luhrmann's Broadway production of La Boheme and can be heard on the cast recording. He also portrayed Papageno in a film adaptation of Mozart's, The Magic Flute directed by Kenneth Branagh with a new English translation by Stephen Fry and conducted by James Conlon. It had premieres at both the Venice and Toronto Film Festivals. He has performed at The Hollywood Bowl as Older Patrick in Mame and as a Street Singer in Bernstein's Mass with the LA Philharmonic. Other TV/Film credits include Numb3rs and Miriam. Symphony engagements include performances with the LA Philharmonic and Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra.
